Course Outcomes:


The student will locate, retrieve, process and communicate scientific information relevant to a task, using a variety of resources.

The student will increase their body of knowledge needed to function in and contribute to a scientific and technological world.

The student will acquire an understanding of the nature of science as a human endeavor and an appreciation of technology as the application of scientific knowledge and principles.

The student will begin to develop a sensitivity about science and its influence on societal issues and values.

The student will use science problem solving strategies and investigative processes, individually and cooperatively to complete Design and Perform Experiments.

Expectations: Students are expected to:


 

Attend regularly and be on time since poor attendance/lates affect performance adversely

Be willing to participate actively, cooperatively, and with respect for others.

Be responsible for work missed due to absence. Extra help is available on request.

Keep neat, well organized notes and experimental notebook. Work from here will be used to produce material for your portfolio and core evidence hand ins.

Manage time well. Late or missing assignments may fall outside of an assessment period and no longer be valid.
