NOTE:   The exam covers all core units in the course.   These are Kinematics, Dynamics, Momentum & Energy, Waves & Light, Electric Fields, Nuclear Physics and Early Quantum Theory.

PARTS OF EXAM:
PART A: Multiple Choice 25 marks
PART B: Matching 10 marks
PART B: Calculations 55 marks
PART D: Essay questions (3 x 10 marks each)30 marks

PART B:
This section will consist of one set of matching questions focus on "modern physics" topics.

PART C:
This section will be made up of calculations of the type done routinely in class.   All units are represented, but I have selected questions which are relatively straightforward.   You will be able to choose from groups of questions:

EXAM MARKS BREAKDOWN by UNIT

Due the large amount of choice available in the exam, it is not really possible to quantify
UNIT% ON EXAM
Kinematics 10%
Dynamics 20%
Momentum & Energy17%
Planetary Mechanics9%
Electric Fields9%
Waves & Light21%
Matter Energy Interface / Early Quantum Theory (includes Radioactivity)14%

NOTE:   The 30 mark extended response section is not included in the breakdown shown above.   For this section, you will be selecting three topics to answer out of a list of 5.
